If you had to describe what working at P&G is like in three words what would they be?

Why did you apply to P&G?

I was really interested in working with consumer goods in a multi-national environment, and P&G seemed like the best place to do it.

What do you do in your role on a day to day basis?

I lead our team’s efforts in developing our joint business with our retail partners. This involves a lot of strategic planning, customer contact and team development.

What has your training and development been like during your time with P&G?

It has been fantastic! P&G has an excellent mix of trainings, mentorships and on-the-job experience building. This is a company that needs to develop leaders internally, and it takes great pride in those efforts. I truly feel that I couldn’t have been in a better company during the past 6 years, if I measure my development as a business professional.

How is the work environment/culture at P&G?

It is very welcoming, friendly and helpful given the very demanding nature of our industry. Everyone has been in your shoes, and no one hesitates to help out.

How have you been challenged at P&G?

First off, you get actual responsibility from day 1. This in itself is to me the biggest way in which I’ve been challenged. From there on, I’ve changed assignments and business 4 times in 6 years and been given more organizational responsibility. P&G is great at keeping the right amount of pressure on me to constantly keep me growing at a manageable pace.

What advice would you give to somebody considering applying to P&G?

I’ve learned that there are many different reasons for why you apply, and stay with, P&G. But to me, it’s important to ask yourself if you actually enjoy consumer goods, shopper behaviour, retailing and a multi-national/big corporate environment. If you do, then there is no better place to be!
